The Carrier and Young Lord (2005)
Party rocker Andrew W.K. spent much of the mid-’00s in contract disputes with his management team, preventing him from releasing music. However, it doesn’t stop him from creating music; he composed three full albums, Close Calls With Brick Walls, The Carrier and Young Lord. To date, only Close Calls has see the light of day. “They were two very different albums,” says W.K. of the unreleased records. “One, The Carrier, was-or is-a rock ‘n’ roll album, and the other one, Young Lord, is not.” W.K. made it quite clear there’s even more music locked up in the vaults:
“At least two or three albums worth [of material]. Many hours’ of music, but I don’t know if it will all be released or should be released. We’ll take it one step at a time. I want to do as much as I possibly can, and I really appreciate everyone who cares about this.”
