Cherie Lily Talks About Recording Dance Music

WinkSound caught up with Cherie Lily for an interview during the "Hey Girl Hey" launch party, where she debuted her collaborative fashion line, Thrills Collection, with award-winning Pratt Institute graduate, John Renaud.

In the interview Cherie shares her experience transitioning from playing in punk bands to learning Ableton Live and producing her own dance music. She also speaks about her home studio setup, production work flows and creating "athletic apparel that goes beyond the gym."

Thrills collection was unveiled in its entirety on the catwalk during New York City Fashion week at the launch of “Hey Girl Hey,” produced by Roxy Cottontail, on September 9, 2011. The fashion show featured an array of live entertainment, including DJ Fresh Direct, DJ Brenmar, and DJ Vito Fun, plus a very special live musical performance by Cherie Lily herself, along with additional entertainment from Roxy Cottontail, Cazwell, and nightlife icon, Amanda Lepore.
